The history of Ouzo in the Magnesia region began in 1922, when Greek refugees from Smyrna settled in Nea Ionia, Magnesia. In the early 20th century, along with their belongings, they brought with them the secrets and expertise of Smyrna-style family ouzo, passed down through generations of the Apostolakis family. Thirty years later, in 1954, the Old Family Recipe was revived in Nea Ionia, Volos, producing the first bottles of Ouzo with a Legacy of Quality—the OUZO 1954. Today, guided by Smyrna’s rich tradition, the Apostolakis family continues to preserve the secrets of this exceptional and smooth ouzo, crafting the renowned OUZO 1954. Alcohol Content: 37.5%
