A light, smooth, and sweet distillate with a delicate fruity aroma. The grape pomace (tsikouda or tsampoura) from local varieties Liatiko, Kotsifali, and Vilana is blended in specific proportions, mixed with water, and distilled. The result is an ideal expression of The Cretans’ Raki, carrying the authenticity of a genuine Cretan spirit. Aging: 3-4 months in stainless steel tanks. Consumption & Serving Suggestions: Enjoy at room temperature in winter or chilled in summer. If serving cold, chill the raki itself rather than adding ice, as ice can crystallize the essential oils and alter the flavor. Ideal serving temperature when chilled: 4-8°C. Can be mixed with fruit juices for refreshing cocktails. Infusing it with whole fruits, herbs, or spices under controlled conditions creates excellent liqueurs. Pairing Recommendations: Perfect alongside mezze such as olives, cheese, meatballs, cured meats, grilled mushrooms, baked potatoes, and fried vegetables. It pairs beautifully with spicy, sweet, salty, and bold flavors, but above all, it thrives in good company. Storage: Avoid direct sunlight exposure. Can be stored in the refrigerator. Alcohol Content: 38%
